Dozens of Buildings on Jl. DI. Panjaitan Demolished

60 Satpol PP officers demolished as many as 27 semi-permanent buildings on Jalan DI Panjaitan, Cipinang Besar Utara Urban Village, Jatinegara, East Jakarta.

There were totally 27 buildings, but 18 buildings were demolished by the owner owned

“There were totally 27 buildings, but 18 buildings were demolished by the owner owned ,” said Deputy of Jatinegara Sub District, Manson Sinaga.

Sinaga expressed that the existence of those buildings interfere the officers of East Jakarta Water Management Sub Department to maintain the water channel in that area as well. Consequently, it often clogged then caused puddle when rain poured down.

Buildings Along Kalimalang Inspection Road Demolished

Before the demolishment, his party already sent the warrant demolished letter. But unfortunately half of the buildings owners ignore it.

One of the occupants, Kodar (74), admitted to demolish his building by himself. The reason is he did not want his building material broken because of the officers demolish it forcibly.

“We have no idea where to move. My building was standing above the water channel, and it's my fault,” he disclosed.
